Welcome to Maths4Scotland
Our website has been in existence for over 14 years and we have undertaken a complete refresh of the site, to reflect the content for CfE (Curriculum for Excellence). The site has been optimised for viewing on a PC with Google Chrome. It is our aim to provide clear learning material for National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Mathematics. We hope you find it useful.
In view of the pandemic restrictions, we have decided to focus on Advanced Higher for the time being.
Consequently, We will, for the time being, just add the lessons to the site and add the worked examples, exercises and solutions as time permits.
We will add a video version of the lessons at a later date.

Copyright
Please be aware that our examples and notes are copyright. The pdf files that are provided for Exercises and Solutions may be downloaded by individual students for their own use.
We have colour coded the content to aid understanding:
Black text is normal content.
Grey text is extra explanatory content
Red is used to highlight example questions.
The content is shown in four tabs
Lesson - Worked Examples - Exercise - Solutions.
The tabs are colour-coded such that unselected tabs display a light green background if there is content within them and light grey if not yet containing any content.
This should save time, as you can see when any new content is added.
The Exercise and Solutions tabs will contain downloadable pdf files, that you can use for practice.
We have used modal popups and popovers sparingly throughout the text to provide further information. In neither case does clicking on the link take you away from the page. Each will have its own icon next to it.
Click here to see the modal work:

Here is an example of a hover. Just hover the mouse over the link, you do not need to click on it. If you move the mouse away, the hover will vanish. These are used for a simple explanation or definition. Try hovering over the link.
Hover here to see the hover in action. The site has been optimised for viewing on a PC with Google Chrome. It seems to display well on a tablet - depending on the size of the screen, although I have found image display issues on the Silk Browser using a Kindle Fire. However it is unlikely to display well on a mobile phone. It should work all right on a Mac, but I do not have access to one to try it.
Website status
It will take some time to create and upload all the content for this website. Please scroll down to the end of the page (or click on link - website status) for the up to date status of where we are up to.    Website Status
Zooming
A useful tip if you want to zoom in on the page, particularly the diagrams, then hold down the CTRL-key and turn the mouse wheel away from you. The opposite direction will zoom out.
Adverts
It is our aim to keep this website free from advertisements. We will maintain this intention for as long as possible.
Feedback
We welcome any feedback positive or negative.
Please tell us if you find our website useful.
If you want to make any suggestions for improvement we will always listen.
Thank you.
